Well-established Multimodal Logistics firm with strong presence in Canada
looking for someone with about several years of Toronto-based International Air
Imports
and Truck
experience, strongly customer focused, proactive in customer follow up, good
team
player, positive and works well with other people. Must have Toronto-based
freight
forwarding experience.

- Along with very good written and verbal communications skills, the
candidate must have knowledge and experience in:
Forming relationships with quality Air
and Road carriers who will work with
the firm to move customer freight within the guidelines set out by the company.
Assessing the market and trade lanes serviced by said carriers to determine most
cost effective and efficient transportation networks now and in the future.
Effectively negotiate rates with carriers and customers in order to remain
competitive
in the market while maintaining an acceptable profit margin
Monitoring of freight moving on the firm's global network and updating
shipment
status in the computer system.
Maintain fair and equitable distribution of work within hours of service
guidelines for
the company's global network.
Verifying, modifying and processing activity reports for the Logistics
department on a weekly
and monthly basis for submission to supervisor.
Soliciting new business for the company as opportunities arise
Constantly reviewing work processes and providing suggestions for improvement
Related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Knowledge of Air, Truckload, and LTL carriers and pricing
