You are responsible for the Canadian Customs Brokerage operations by ensuring compliance with Customs regulations and other government agencies while maintaining profitability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Your leadership and team-development skills, coupled with excellent communications,  needs-assessment

- Responsible for the leadership of the Canadian Customs brokerage operation.

- Accountable for the overall profit plan by ensuring operational effectiveness through continuous process
   improvement and appropriate staffing levels.

- Review transportation and distribution processes of importers/exporters in order to minimize cost and improve transit
  times by  providing total supply chain management

- Provide consulting services to internal and external customers on matters pertaining to the international movement of goods.

- Coordinate with other business units improved customer service offerings.

- Develop new business through selling services and maintain relationships with existing customers by analyzing
  change and need.

- Identify non traditional service opportunities with existing and potential customers.

- Integrate corporate procedures with Customs regulations to improve customer service levels.

- Identify methods to reduce operational costs by controlling expenses and increasing revenues.

- Responsible for compliance with government regulations.

- As necessary, handle highly complex client service issues in a professional manner.



- 7 to 10 years + of increasingly responsible positions in operations management in Customs Brokerage in Canada

- Sound understanding of Customs Operations, Processes and Procedures

- Experienced in dealing with operational issues and able to analyze problems and devise appropriate solutions in a
  process-driven environment


- Excellent planning, organization and analytical skills

- Experienced in budgetary and financial planning processes

- Good business acumen and judgment, able to conceptualize, implement and execute programs and processes

- Updated knowledge of all relevant Customs initiatives, programs and legislation affecting Customers

- Proven consensus-building, team-development and decision-making skills

- High energy, proactive, innovative, responsive and customer-focused
