Our Client is a third party logistics Provider specializing in the niche market
of project cargo solutions
on a global basis, including project consulting and management from the research
phase through to completion.
In addition, our Client offers the movement of LCL, FCL, Break bulk Sea
Freight and airfreight services of standard
freight forwarding requirements .

The primary responsibility of this individual will be to perform all related
operational functions to facilitate the research,
quotation and subsequent movement of cargo for clients. In addition, this
position will assist with client projects, by
maintaining a high level of customer service and providing creative
transportation solutions.
The successful individual will:
- Handle day to day operations of office functions including but not limited to
handling phone calls, customer requests,
including research,
- Prepare quotes and implement solutions, while providing ongoing customer
service
- Facilitate and complete movement of cargo and operational files from start to
finish
- Obtain and negotiate rates with carriers covering all modes of transportation
- Visit client site or ship ports to obtain/ assist in the operational
facilitation of an account
- Assist with growth of the business
- Coordinate major projects
- Prepare reports for management outlining profit/loss on completed files

- Excellent communication ability both verbal and written – dealing with clients
abroad
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation/freight forwarding industry
- Strong knowledge of all modes of freight; exports focus
- Formal education in transportation/Freight Forwarding a strong asset
- Experience with break bulk and/or project freight a strong asset
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi task
- Must be able to self manage, take initiative and work independently
