The Finland/Scandinavian Route Development Manager is responsible for business development and client
relationship management of these trade-lanes: Finland, Denmark, Sweden,
Norway, but especially Finland
Duties will include prospecting and securing new client relationships, focusing
on business development,
working with overseas agents and calling upon a
strong knowledge of
these geographic market areas.
Growing revenues from existing clients and securing business from prospects, you
have a minimum of 5
years experience in selling international freight forwarding and logistics
services in this trade area.
You also have
professionally developed selling and account management skills.
An excellent communicator, you may speak of one or more of the languages of these regions
with a strong preference.

- Develop Scandinavian trade lane segments by working closely with
District/Branch Managers, Sales Management and field sales both in Canada
and overseas
- Identify business potential and develop new products and service
solutions to meet and exceed the requirements of new and existing
customers
- Monitor, analyze and report on competitors’ activities, strengths and
weakness
- Identify and target new business in markets including
Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway
- Develop and manage sales leads to and from overseas
- Develop marketing and vital sales information to assist sales and
operations staff in Canada and overseas
- Personally focus on the development of multi-national and major
accounts as well as assist other senior sales personnel
- Travel to respective countries as required on sales campaigns to establish
agency agreements and develop key customer relationships
- Develop and launch new product sales campaigns
- Assist in the maintenance and growth retention of key accounts
relative to these trade lanes
- Assist with RFI’s and RFP’s relative to these trade lanes
