The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for handling inbound Ocean and Truck shipments by effectively managing all facets of the transportation cycle in a cost-effective and expeditious manner.

You are also fluently bilingual.



- Responsible to coordinate the movement of all products, into and out of the local site to meet the needs of
  the customer, the operations personnel, the customer service representatives and the Product coordinators.
- This includes validation of OW outbound orders, reviewing daily orders, etc.
- To coordinate and follow-up deliveries upon request to ensure timely drops, including incoming movement to
  the warehouse, local deliveries to customers, direct customer deliveries and transfers, including tracings of inbound shipments from suppliers.
- Ensure shipping and receiving records are entered in the system in a timely and accurate manner according to business
  requirements, and report any quantity discrepancy to the Product Coordinator and Finance Dept.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate landed costs relating to inbound freight, terminal charges and duty.
- Investigate any discrepancies
  between the details log and true costs with the assistance of the product coordinator.
- Coordinate inter-branch transfers
- Coordinate shipping/receiving schedules with the warehouse with the goal to balance the workload as much as possible
- For inbound/outbound shipments: Responsible to maintain accurate ETA dates in OW and communicate any delays.
- Actively review load builds wherever possible to reduce transportation costs
- Responsible for all ISO and Responsible Distribution paperwork as related to local inventories, including assisting in assuring the
  appropriate C of A's are received in the system in a   timely manner and prior to receipt of Inventory.
- Responsible to process claims for damaged goods received due to freight related incidents in OW and through our SLIP management program.
- Review and authorize freight invoices from carriers that have discrepancies outside of acceptable parameters in a timely manner.
- Carrier Management as it relates to performance and Rate negotiations.
- Assist the commercial team by providing freight quotations and carrier suggestions in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring that all necessary import documents are on hand in order to optimize intended lower cost.



- College degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5 years Ocean Imports and related Truck movements in an international freight forwarding environment preferred
- Knowledge of Customs regulations, documentation and requirements would be an asset
- Knowledge of TDG would be an asset
- Will be able to manage inbound/outbound, full and bulk freight requirements
- Proven experience with an ERP (or a similar system) would be an asset ; J.D. Edwards/SAP
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi task (a must)
- Excellent communication skills
- Good negotiating skills
- Excellent people skills and ability to work in a team environment (a must)
- Previous leadership or experience supervising people would be an asset
- Skilled in excel spreadsheets
- Good at meeting deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and able to produce
  efficient , effective and positive results
- Bilingualism is essential
