Customs Rater the opportunity to take on expanded responsibilities in joining their team of customs professionals.

- Customs Rating; processing customs clearances

- Coordinating and clearing ocean, air and truck freight

- Development and maintenance of tariff profiles for new and existing accounts;

- Daily preparation of EDI and manual release requests to include all modes of transportation and for various commodities;

- Daily completion and presentation of confirming entries;

- Arranging for the delivery and re-forwarding of arriving cargo;

- Review and maintenance of Certificates of Origin;

- Ongoing development of client relationships

- Providing proactive client service and handling client inquiries


-  1 to 3 years + of customs rating and releasing experience in the GTA

-  Good familiarity with HS/Cadex/Across/ACE/PARS and other current initiatives

-  Experience with Customs Rating and Releasing; Customer and Carrier Liaison

-  Experienced in interacting with CBSA and other government departments in following up
   Customer issues

- Practical knowledge of procedures and processes, customs software; MS Office
  applications

- Experienced with preparing entries, import permits, LVS/HVS shipments
  transmit entries and confirm release with Canada Customs

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment; multi-tasking, organizing
  and problem-solving

- CCS designation or working towards it  is a plus

- Excellent written and spoken English
