Our client is a very well-established and respected leader in the manufacturing
and distribution of agricultural
material handling, construction and transportation tires.

they have an excellent career opportunity as Logistics Planner-Vendor dealing
with front-end logistics planning,
to join a
dedicated team of Logistics professionals
in Brampton.
Our client has strategically located warehouses and facilities throughout North America that
allow them to reach customers
on the
continental USA and Canada within a 24-hour period. They operate warehouses in
Europe and Asia. Large customers
are often serviced through direct shipments that start at the production
facility and
are delivered directly to the manufacturer’s production line or the customer’s
wholesale warehouse.

- Manage an inventory pipeline from manufacturing plants through distribution to
customers, using a vertically integrated
management process.
- 15,000 inbound containers into Pacfic/Atlantic ports, 17,000 SKUs/9,000
active, 42 Inventory points; coordinating inbound freight and
subsequent distribution to 5 major DCs in North America; working
with steamship carriers and domestic transborder trucking
- Downloading ERP information into Excel spreadsheets and manipulating the
resulting data
- You will oversee inventory utilization, forecasting, and planning and
execution through MRP.
- Assist in developing, coordinating and communicating plans to achieve a
balance of optimal service and inventory investment.
- Planning next month's orders through lead-times and sku forecasts
- Coordinate timely resolution of issues related to capacity, quality, system
utilization, and supply chain performance.
- Develop and maintain item/market level demand forecasts and produce reports
for management.
- Manage the logistics of the product pipeline from suppliers to distribution
centers.
- Manage inventory investment considering forecast accuracy, production
parameters, lead-times, and financial constraints.
- Assist in the successful completion of new product launches, process
improvement projects, and product/plant consolidations.
- Coordinate with plants to implement production plans commensurate with
capacity, material availability, workforce requirements and manufacturing efficiencies.

- Strong Far East Imports experience with knowledge of international
documentation; 4 to 7 years of Logistics/SCM Planning experience in a
JIT environment; inventory/production control and inbound raw materials;
OBLs, Manifests, Import Permits, etc; intermodal movements ocean/truck
- Procurement experience is an advantage as is experience with Asian and
European-based
companies
- Knowledge of intermodal freight movements, primarily Imports by Ocean, Truck, both transborder and domestic is useful
- Assertive and friendly personality and accustomed to working with specific
deadlines
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred; academic training in Transportation and
Logistics desireable
- CAPICS certification and/or Logistics training and experience is a plus
