- Retain and develop customers through developing long-term strategic
relationships
- To consistently achieve and exceed objectives through the development of
people,
systems, and processes.
- Continue building long-term profitable relationships with customers.
- Negotiate rates and services effectively with air/sea/ground carriers
- Plan relationship/account development strategy.
- Analyze logistical methods utilized by customers.
- Improve station contribution/performance by understanding and using available
tools.
- Regularly review progress against budget and take remedial action where
necessary.
- Contribute to reducing working capital by ensuring receivables are collected
on time.
- Assess and anticipate market trends, technological developments, as well as
customer
and competitor activity
- To lead, motivate, develop and guide a
small staff in the day to day
operations
of an international freight forwarder and customs broker

- Fluently bilingual, French and English
- Post-secondary education; college, university (Business degree), CITT/P.Log
- Minimum 3-5 years experience at a management level in international freight
forwarding
- Proven track record of customer service and development
- Successful in managing in a complex, customer driven,
fast paced environment
- Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the company
- A proven Team builder
- Flexible and capable of coordinating several functions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train employees
- Sales ability
- Air/Ocean experience
