A strong Ocean Exports oriented logistics firm, with a long-term presence in the Ontario marketplace
is seeking a dynamic and well-rounded Freight Forwarding Operations Manager for present
and future growth, a newly created position. If you have a strong track record in international Ocean and Air
Exports and Imports, are proven effective in improving systems and procedures, have a leadership style
which connects with and empowers people to rally together and would like to join a company with the vision and resources for growth, a company that is constantly evolving to conform and grow with
their customers' Freight Forwarding needs, this may be the opportunity that you have been seeking.



- To manage the day to day operations of a thriving international freight forwarder.

- Overseeing the daily operations and implementation of international freight
  systems and procedures in line with accepted international standards

- To oversee through supervisors all facets of exports and imports operations.

- To consistently achieve and exceed objectives through the development of people,
  systems, and processes.

- Analyze logistical methods utilized by customers.

- Assess and anticipate market trends, technological developments, as well as customer
  and competitor activity

- To lead, motivate, develop and guide an operations staff in the day to day operations
  of an international freight forwarder.



- Minimum 5 years experience in management with strength in Operations in international freight forwarding
  in Canada, ideally Ocean Exports

- Strong leadership abilities and proven skills in developing
  staff; professional attitudes, excellent soft skills, people oriented

- Excellent industry reputation - well respected by local air/sea carriers

- Able to generate confidence with customers

- Able to perceive profitable business opportunities

- Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the company through constant improvement
  in processes, procedures, workflow planning and organization

- A proven Team builder, a coach, mentor and leader by personal example

- Flexible and capable of coordinating several functions

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to train employees

- Confidence based on experience and knowledge in the industry

- Proactive and progressive minded
