Key Responsibilities:
-
Procurement/expediting for domestic/international
air/road/rail/ocean project cargo
-
Offshore/onsite coordination of turn-key projects involving
heavy-lift, over-sized, over-dimensional freight movements
- Researching
rates and services with third party carriers for specialized
movements by charter, flatbed, barge, etc.
- Maximize
profits through consolidating containerized freight,
reducing transport costs
- Coordinates
the preparation of all required export documentation,
including adherence to terms of Letters of Credit and other
financial instruments
- Front line
knowledge of interpreting letters of credit
- Often trains and
develops junior exports staff

Qualifications Required:
A minimum of 4-7 years of outbound international
freight
experience; good communicator, negotiator, teamplayer |
Summary:
May possess B.A.,
PFF,
IATA, CITT or industry equivalent in experience.
Project Coordinators may be pursuing P.Log certification.
Project people
in Alberta often earn above the industry averages in the
resources sector. |
